Following the Dog

Twitter, a glorified collection of Facebook status updates, is frequently the subject of hot debate. The general consensus is that it's a big waste of time. However, being as cool as we are, we made a twitter profile one summer night while we drank. Since then, I've realized the full potential of Twitter's complete stupidness but also its ability for a laugh or two. If you can get some morons to follow you, you can bombard them with inane posts about stupid quotes or even the updates from the highly publicized ruit tournaments. Moreover, there are other smart people out there who have even further realized Twitter's potential. Some people have taken up the alias of the likes of Lord Voldemort or Archer and tweet in an appropriate fashion. Even better is the user out there who decided to take up the guise of a dog.
Following a dog on Twitter is absolutely hilarious. For example, HoneytheDog's most recent update was "Cold Paws!!!!" Please tell me something more genius. Dogs get cold paws in the winter and tweet about it. Another prime example - "I had a lovely Holiday although apparently I smell of Straw!" OH MY GOD THAT IS FUNNY - to quote Billy Madison. This dog's genius posts justify having a Twitter profile completely. While you may not subscribe to the notion that Twitter is fun to post stupid things all the time, following a dog should change your mind. We all love dogs and we all love when they act like people. On a different note, don't follow stand up comedians on Twitter unless you're absolutely sure they are very funny all the time. Or else you'll have to wade through unfunny posts and many ESPN updates to find your beloved dog updates. If I had one wish for this new year, I'd wish for Honey to tweet even more than she does. That'd make me wag my tail.
